Born on May 19, 1990 , Sidharth Sriram is an Indian Carnatic musician, songwriter, playback vocalist, and music producer who was brought up in the United States. Sidharth Sriram has experience in the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi, and English music industries and is an R&B songwriter.

Sid Sriram Early years
Tamil Nadu’s Chennai is where Sid Sriram was born. At the age of one, he and his parents relocated to California, where he was raised in Fremont. His mother, Latha Sriram, a Carnatic music instructor in the San Francisco Bay Area, fostered his musical abilities. At the age of three, he began taking Carnatic music lessons.

At the same time, he began to listen to R&B. Sidharth Sriram enrolled in Berklee College of Music after graduating from Mission San Jose High School in 2008, where he earned a degree in music production and engineering. Sidharth Sriram has been travelling to India on a regular basis since graduating to perform Carnatic performances, such as Marghazhi Utsavam, which is part of the December music season. Sidharth Sriram returned to India after that and is now a resident of Chennai’s Mylapore neighbourhood.

In addition, he has lately contributed to Telugu songs like Kola Kale Ila from Varudu Kavalenu and Malayalam songs like Uyire from Gauthamante Radham. He also performed two songs from the Jhund movie in Hindi.

Aside from movies, Sriram released his own debut record, Entropy, in 2019. It was inspired by the self-published song of the same name he had written in 2012. In 2021, he collaborated with producer Ryan Olson on the all-English album Sidharth, which was released by Def Jam.
The album combines R&B and indie rock influences with Carnatic music, something Sriram has experimented with before. The songs Dear Sahana, The Hard Way, and Friendly Fire were released first, and then the album on August 25, 2023. As a featured artist, he has also collaborated with independent musicians on a number of singles.
