Born on September 11, 1982, Shriya Saran Bhatnagar, also known by her professional name Shriya Saran, is an Indian Actress who mostly appears in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films. While Shriya’s dream was to become a dancer, she ended up becoming an actor and starring in her first movie, Ishtam (2001), in Telugu. Santosham (2002) marked Saran’s first commercial hit.

In Haridwar, Northern India, on September 11, 1982 —a Kayastha family welcomed Shriya Saran Bhatnagar into the world. Pushpendra Saran Bhatnagar and Neeraja Saran Bhatnagar are her parents. Her mother taught chemistry at Delhi Public Schools in Mathura Road, New Delhi, and Ranipur, Haridwar, while her father was employed at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. Saran performed as a student of classical singing in two Telugu and two Hindi films in 2004: Arjun and Nenunnanu. Critics appreciated Shriya’s performance, highlighting her on-screen connection with Jesse Metcalfe in particular. 2012 saw Saran’s debut release of Casanovva, her second Malayalam film directed by Rosshan Andrews and costarring Mohanlal. The film’s producer declared in October 2010 that filming will begin in Dubai with Shriya Saran among the actors, despite numerous delays and rumours that Saran might abandon the project. It was made available on January 26. Her subsequent film debut was in Rumy Jafry’s Gali Gali Chor Hai, which debuted on February 3rd, after filming started in September 2011.
