Rajan Shahi is an Indian television producer and director who was born on December 3, 1971. P. Jairaj is his grandson. In addition, he is the creator of Director’s Kut Productions, the biggest production company in India. Among the many honors he has received are the sixteenth ITA Awards.

Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, Saat Phere – Saloni Ka Safar, Sapna Babul Ka Bidai, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, and Anupamaa were all created and directed by Shahi. In 2022, he debuted as an OTT producer for Disney+ Hotstar with Anupama: Namaste America, the prequel to Anupamaa.

Shahi went to St. Columba’s School, completed his studies at Hindu College in Delhi, and then relocated to Mumbai.
Rajan Shahi Career
Shahi began working as an assistant director in 1993. He directed Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi, a television serial, in 1999. He continued directing television shows such Saathi Re, Hamare Tumhare, Rishtey, Kareena Kareena, Reth, Mamtaa, Millee, Virasaat, and Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. After that, he directed Saat Phere’s Saloni Ka Safar, Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan, and Maayaka television series.
Rajan Shahi eventually made the transition to television production, founding Director’s Kut Productions in 2007. Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai on Star Plus was his debut show as a producer. He then produced Shital Tai, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Chand Chupa Badal Mein, and Tere Sheher Mein on Star Plus.
Based on the popularity of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, they began developing Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke in 2019. The production house made its debut in the Marathi GEC market in 2019 with the Marathi serial Aai Kuthe Kay Karte! for Star Pravah, a Marathi channel on Star Network. Later, The Serial was recreated in Hindi for Star Plus, where it debuted as Anupamaa on July 13, 2020.[Reference required]
