Nikhita Gandhi is an Indian playback singer who was born on October 1, 1991, and has sung in five different languages for Indian movies. Nikhita Gandhi has contributed to cinema projects in Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu.

In the movie Raabta, she performed the title single “Raabta” as Deepika Padukone’s face. The hit duet “Ullu Ka Pattha” she sings with Arijit Singh from the movie Jagga Jasoos. Numerous Hindi films featuring her singing include Tiger 3, Sooryavanshi, Kedarnath, Luka Chuppi, Jab Harry Met Sejal, Sachin: A Billion Dreams, and Kedarnath. She has also performed Tamil and Bengali song vocals from films such Kishmish, Varisu, Leo, and Cockpit.

Nikhita Gandhi Career
born in Kolkata into a Bengali and Punjabi mixed family. Nikhita completed her education at Kolkata’s esteemed La Martiniere for Girls. In 2010, Nikhita moved to Chennai in order to complete her dental studies. Nikhita, a former student of A. R. Rahman’s K. M. College of Music and Technology, first interacted with Rahman when she was a member of a choir that sang with the German orchestra during an Indo-German exchange. Rahman then gave her a personal audition for a commercial project that she and Shekhar Kapur were working on together called “Qyuki.”
Nikhita Gandhi recorded a Bengali album called Kotha in 2012, which was a reworking of songs by famous poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, known for his Nazrul Geeti.
Nikhita made her breakout performance of the song “Ladio” from Shankar’s film I (2015), after her efforts on her own studio album and her appearances in songs in regional films. She translated the song into Hindi in four hours and recorded it, composed by A. R. Rahman. She went on to record the song in Telugu and Hindi, receiving praise from critics for both recordings. Nikhita Gandhi also contributed to Rahman’s O Kadhal Kanmani and Anirudh’s Thanga Magan in 2015.

In addition to her movie singing, she created a band and has given performances in Kolkata and Kerala. Sajith Sathya, Joshua Gopal, Godfrey Immanuel, and Jerard Felix make up Gandhi’s quintet.
The Zed Cine Awards 2018 have named her the best female playback vocalist of the year for the Raabta title track. Nikhita Gandhi received a nomination for her song “Ghar” from Jab Harry Met Sejal in the 63rd Filmfare Awards[8] category for best playback singer (female).
She was also a nominee for the 3rd Filmfare Awards East for best playback vocalist (female) for the Bengali song “Tomra Ekhono Ki” from Meghnad Badh Rahasya. She performed a playback of the song “Qaafirana” from the movie Kedarnath in November 2018, and it became popular. She and Arijit Singh received the Nestle Kitkat Sony Mix Audience Music Award in April 2019 for the finest duet, Qaafirana from Kedarnath.
Nikhita Gandhi first released her song Ek Do Teen on Zed Music Company in April 2019; it was composed by Raees & Zain – Sam. She then followed it up in June 2019 with Madari from the movie The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, which she co-starred in with Vishal Dadlani, and in July 2019 with Main Deewana Tera from Arjun Patiala.
Nikhita entered Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2024 as a wild card contestant, however she was not chosen.
