Terence Lewis is an Indian dancer, singer, and choreographer who was born on April 10, 1975. Terence Lewis conducts dance seminars in India and overseas and owns and operates the “Terence Lewis Contemporary Dance Company” in Mumbai.

Along with choreographing dance performances for musicals, stage shows, advertisements, music videos, and national and international dance competitions, he has choreographed for Bollywood films such as Lagaan (2001), Jhankaar Beats (2003), and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013). Terence Lewis competed on Colours TV’s Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 3 (2010). The last time we saw him was when he judged India’s Best Dancer (2020–2021).

Terence Lewis Childhood And Education

Javier and Teresa Lewis, who were Mangalorean Catholics , raised Terence Lewis in Bombay. The youngest of eight siblings is Lewis. He attended St. Theresa’s Boys High School and St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, where he studied and began dancing. Terence Lewis received his degree from Dadar Catering College, currently known as IHM Mumbai. He received his training in jazz, ballet, and contemporary dance at the Martha Graham Centre of Contemporary Dance in New York and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.

Terence Lewis Career

Lewis has choreographed scenes for a number of Bollywood blockbusters. In addition, he has choreographed several feature films, Broadway musicals, Indian contemporary performances, corporate launches, broadway musicals, and music videos. Along with Saroj Khan, Raju Khan, Ganesh Hegde, and Vaibhavi Merchant, Lewis choreographed the songs for the film Lagaan, which earned him the 2002 American Choreography Award.

Terence Lewis is the first Indian to represent India in Vienna, Austria, after being awarded the Dance Web Europe Scholarship. In addition, he choreographed for films such as Jhankaar Beats, Naach, What’s Your Raashee?, and others.

Terence For the first three seasons of Dance India Dance, Lewis served as a judge. Alisha Singh, one of his competitors in the inaugural season, finished in second place. His competitor Shakti Mohan emerged victorious in the second season. His competitors in the third season, Raghav Juyal and Pradeep Gurung, finished in second and third place, respectively, behind Rajasmita Kar.

His former assistant’s participation in the season 3 auditions—which she did without telling Lewis—was the most unexpected development. The other two judges chose Lewis to move on to the next round without Lewis evaluating his performance.

Fear A Factor: Khiladi 3 by Khatron

Lewis competed in Colours TV’s Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 3, which was hosted by Priyanka Chopra, in 2010. The 13 boys’ third season took place in Copacabana, Brazil. In the eleventh episode of the show, he was eliminated.
