Mehwish Hayat, a Pakistani actress, was born on January 6, 1988. Her main medium of employment is Urdu cinema, though she has also worked in television. Mehwish Hayat made her screen debut in the comedy Jawani Phir Nahi Ani (2015) before going on to work as an actor in the legal field (2016).

Since then, Hayat has acted in three of the highest-grossing Pakistani films: the comedies London Nahi Jaunga (2022), Load Wedding (2018), and Punjab Nahi Jaungi (2017).
Hayat’s career took a major turn in 2012 when she starred in the romance drama series Meray Qatil Meray Dildar, which garnered her recognition and a nomination for Best Actress at the Lux Style Awards. Later on, in Kashif Nisar’s critically acclaimed series Kami Reh Gayi (2013), she played a strong-willed character. Her career took off when she was cast in four of Momina Duraid’s love dramas: Ru Baru (2014), Ishq Mein Teray (2013), Mirat-ul-Uroos (2012), Phhir Chand Pe Dastak (2011), and the hugely popular family drama Kabhi Kabhi (2013) directed by Anjum Shahzad.
Her final performance on Pakistani television was in Dil Lagi (2016), a tragic romance starring Nadeem Baig. She played Aisha, a heroine who must escape India to Pakistan in the 1940s, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series Ms. Marvel in 2022.
In 2019, Hayat was bestowed with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan, and she also received the Lux Style Award.

On January 6, 1988, Hayat was born in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Her mother Rukhsar Hayat was a well-known television actress in the 1980s. Her older sister Afsheen is also a singer, while her eldest brother Zeeshan is a singer-composer. Danish Hayat, another elder brother, is an actor, and she is the sister-in-law of model Faiza Ashfaq via him. According to allegations in the Indian media in 2020, Hayat was romantically involved with Dawood Ibrahim, a criminal boss who was listed as one of India’s most wanted men. The relationship rumours have never been verified and were probably slander brought about by Hayat’s candid remarks.
