Sayli Salunkhe works as an actor on television in India. She has contributed to several television series in Marathi and Hindi. Her family is from Maharashtra, where she was born and raised.
She stated in an interview that she would have been a dancer or a choreographer if she had not chosen to pursue a career in acting. She had a strong interest for dancing from the time she began practicing it. Sayli says she was a musician when she was a youngster, so she said yes right away when one of her friends asked her to be in a music video. Sayli portrayed Indu in the Hindi series “Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai” on Star Bharat in 2022. She had trouble speaking her dialogue in Hindi while filming on the show. She discussed this in an interview, stating that although she was a Maharashtrian, when she began her acting career, her Marathi was not very proficient. Although her Hindi was similarly lacking, she made a concerted effort to enhance her dictation. She went on to say in the interview that she started speaking both languages and it gave her a lot of confidence.
She also made an appearance on Colours TV in the Hindi series Spy Bahu in 2022, when she portrayed Drishti Abhishek Singh.
She was given numerous grey and negative roles after starring in the television series Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai, but she declined them since she was more interested in playing a lead character. She attended numerous workshops to hone her skills before to being offered the show “Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si.” She costarred with Mohit Malik in the Star Plus Hindi series “Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si” in 2023. Sayli reportedly wasn’t selected for the show right away. Sriti Jha and Drashti Dhami, two actresses, participated in the show’s mock auditions as well.
She went to audition for another job, but the show’s director, Rajan Shahi, was so taken by her husky tone that he extended an offer to her for the lead. Sayli was a fantastic fit for the part because her character Vandana in the programme had a very distinctive tone and voice. She discussed this in an interview, saying, “I get motivated by people telling me that I have a different voice.” My distinctive voice has contributed to my success as Vandana. I’m hoping the crowd shows us so much love and gratitude for the performance.
Sayli claims that having an appearance on the show gave her the opportunity to explore a new aspect of herself. She stated in an interview that her Bollywood debut was on par with her experience working on the show. Veteran singer Usha Uthup and musician Sanam Puri sing the theme song of the television programme “Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si.”
She frequently shares photos of herself hanging out with street dogs on social media because she is a passionate dog lover.
