Shot in Serbia, the movie dramatises the actual events of the reprisal to the Uri attack in a fictitious way. Uri is the ninth highest-grossing Indian film domestically, having made over ₹3.5 billion (US$44 million) internationally and ₹2.4 billion (US$30 million) in India.
