On March 30, 1967, Bhabani was born to Ashesh Bhabani, a Bengali father, and Ann Bhabani, an English mother. Bhabani used to take her mother Ann to a salon in the UK on a regular basis when she was younger. Adhuna Bhabani wanted to become a hairdresser since her mother was so picky about her hair and because of the atmosphere there. She then signed up for a training program at the Northwest England salon Worthington Hair. When Bhabani was barely 17 years old, she also competed in and won the under-21 national junior hairstyling championship.

Along with her brother and business partner Osh Bhabani, Bhabani opened her first salon, Juice, in Mumbai in 1998. But then they decided to call it BBLUNT instead.

In 2001, Bhabani debuted as a hairstylist in Bollywood with Dil Chahta Hai, directed by Farhan Akhtar. In many aspects, especially the actors’ appearances, the movie broke new ground. She faced several difficulties because they had to design unique looks for Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Akshaye Khanna. The movie turned out to be a significant game changer for both her company and the hair salon sector overall.

In 2004, she also styled the hair for the film Lakshya, starring Hrithik Roshan. In the movie, Preity Zinta had two different looks: a long haired one and a short crop. It was challenging because she and her team were operating in the harsh circumstances of Ladakh. She remembers the terrifying moment on the first day of the shoot, when the wind and temperature caused Preity’s wig to swell. Bhabani dated actor Farhan Akhtar for three years before getting married to him in 2000. Bhabani’s first experience as a Bollywood hairstylist was during the making of Dil Chahta Hai, the film in which he made his directing debut. Shakya and Akira are the couple’s two daughters. After 16 years of marriage, they declared their separation on January 21, 2016.On April 24, 2017, their divorce was officially formalized, and Bhabani was granted custody of their kids.
Adhuna Bhabani began dating Nicolo Morea, the older brother of actor Dino Morea, in 2017.
