Indian actress and model Tina Datta (born 27 November 1991) is well-known for her work in Hindi television. Her role as Ichcha in the drama series Uttaran, for which she received the Producers Guild Award for Best Actress, helped her gain notoriety.

Tina Datta was born to Madhumita Datta and Tapan Datta on November 27, 1991 in Kolkata. Debraj is the name of her older brother.Datta is a fervent fan of both yoga and pilates. At the age of five, Datta made her acting debut in Sister Nivedita. A year later, in the Bengali film Pita Maata Santan, Tina Datta made her screen debut as a young artist.She continued acting in other Bengali films, including Sagarkanya and Dus Number Bari. Tina Datta has also appeared in a number of Bengali television programmes, Khela being one among them.
Datta and Aishwarya Rai appeared in Rituparno Ghosh’s movie Chokher Bali. She also portrayed a young Lalita in Parineeta, a 2005 cult classic starring Vidya Balan and Saif Ali Khan. Datta appeared in Kolkata for the role of, and Pradeep Sarkar, who was looking for a Bengali actor to play the part, thought highly of her and declared that she was ideal for the part. Tina Datta played Kumkum Roy Choudhary in the Bengali mythology drama television series Durga in 2008.

In Uttaran, Colours TV’s third-longest-running Indian television serial, Datta played Ichcha Bundela and Meethi Bundela opposite Nandish Sandhu and Mrunal Jain from 2009 to 2015. She received a great deal of praise for it as well as other awards, including the Producers Guild Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series.

Tina Datta took part in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, a stunt-based reality competition on Colours TV, in 2016, and placed 12th overall. Datta portrayed Dhamini in the mythology drama Karmaphal Daata Shani from 2017 to 2018. She played the roles of Jhanvi Mourya and Kundani Roy in the &TV paranormal romantic drama series Daayan from 2018 to 2019.
Tina Datta starred as Ketki Maheshwari alongside Rajeev Khandelwal in the crime thriller online series Naxalbari on ZEE5 in 2020. The show is about an STF agent sent on a mission to put an end to the resurgence of a Naxal insurrection in Gadchiroli. According to India Today, “Tina Datta breathes a fresh aura into Ketki, a translator who works with government agencies.” For her role in the series, Tina Datta was given the Global Fame Award for Best OTT Debut. Datta made her music video debut in 2021 by appearing in the Bengali song Durga Maa Elo Re by Mika Singh.
Future projects and Bigg Boss (2022-present)
Tina Datta took part in Colours TV’s captivity reality series Bigg Boss 16 from 2022 to 2023. After 119 days in the house, she came in at eighth position. The second-highest paid contestant of the year was Datta. Tina Datta costarred with Jay Bhanushali as Surili Ahuja Banerjee in the 2023 episode of Sony TV’s Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum.
