Indian actress Sheeba Chaddha works in theatre, film, and television. For her roles in the 2022 movies Badhaai Do and Doctor G, she was nominated for and won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Sheeba Chaddha Early Life And Career
Born and raised in Delhi, Chaddha became interested in theatre and enrolled in workshops there. Sheeba Chaddha attended Hans Raj College (University of Delhi) with a concentration in English literature. Sheeba Chaddha and Anurag Kashyap were classmates.

In films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Parzania (2007), Delhi 6 (2009), Luck by Chance (2009), and Talaash (2012), Chaddha has played character roles. Alongside actor Rituraj Singh, she made an additional appearance in the 2011 short film Prakata Het Yad in gibberish.
At the River to River Florence Indian Film Festival, the movie took home the Audience Choice prize in the Short Films category. Sheeba Chaddha played the sex worker Nirmala in the 2012 movie Talaash: The Answer Lies Within. Her breakthrough performance came in 2015 when she played the eccentric Nain Tara Tiwary (Buaji) in Sharat Katariya’s Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
Her first television appearance was in the 2002 film Love Marriage. She then returned to the screen in 2007 as a business tycoon in Kasturi. Aana Is Des Laado (2009–2012), Kitani Mohabbat Hai (2009), Kahani Saat Pheron Ki (2007), Kuch Toh Log Kahenge (2001–2013), and Lakhon Mein Ek (2012) were the series that came after this.
Sheeba Chaddha became a cast member of the popular Zed TV series Hitler Didi in June 2012.
Sheeba Chaddha has also performed in stage productions, including C for Clown by Rajat Kapoor (2007), Atul Kumar’s The Blue Mug (2010), which starred Kapoor, Munish Bhardwaj, Vinay Pathak, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Ranvir Shorey, and Desdimona in Roysten Abel’s Othello in Black&White. In addition, she portrayed the lead role of Hedda in a 2012 staging of Henrik Ibsen’s play Hedda Gabler. She is also in charge of Mumbai’s “The Company Theatre,” a theatre company. Under the umbrella of The Viral Fever, she is currently collaborating with the internet television series Permanent Roommates (TVF).
