In the AVM Productions-produced and Sekhar Kammula-directed Telugu film Leader (2010), Gangopadhyay made his screen debut alongside Rana Daggubati and Priya Anand.[Reference required] She was sent to Leader by an assistant director, who then suggested her to Sekhar Kammula. On her birthday, Gangopadhyay traveled to Hyderabad for her film audition. She was chosen right away, and two days later filming got underway. She portrayed Archana, a news reporter, in the movie.

Archana is the love interest of the main character, played by Rana Daggubati, a debutante. “Pretty and charming” and “good in a performance oriented role” were the critics’ descriptions of Gangopadhyay’s performance, which debuted in theaters throughout the world to largely positive reviews and strong box office results. Following the film’s popularity, she was brought on by director P. Vasu to feature in Nagavalli, his follow-up to 2005’s Chandramukhi. Poonam Kaur, Venkatesh, Anushka Shetty, and Shraddha Das were among the ensemble cast members of the movie. Critics praised Gangopadhyay for her portrayal of a girl who is psychologically possessed by the ghost of Nagavalli, calling her “impressive” and “convincing” despite the film’s mixed opening reviews.

Her first release of 2011 was the action movie Mirapakaay, in which she made her acting debut opposite Ravi Teja. Following her recognition at the success party of her last film Leader, she was signed by the film’s director, Harish Shankar. Because she was an NRI, he first offered her the role portrayed by Deeksha, but after they met to go over the screenplay, he was certain that Gangopadhyay would be a good fit for Vinamra, a typical Telugu Brahmin girl. Reviewers gave Gangopadhyay’s performance a “good and just about hold her own in the dance sequences” grade when the movie first came out.[Reference required] Subsequently, Gangopadhyay acted in two more Tamil movies.
