Indian actress Nusrat Jahan Ruhi was born on January 8, 1990, and she primarily performs in Bengali films. As a Trinamool Congress candidate in 2019, Jahan entered the political arena and won election as a Member of Parliament for the Lok Sabha from the Basirhat constituency. Jahan made his movie debut in Shotru, directed by Raj Chakraborty.

Nusrat Jahan Childhood And Schooling
On January 8, 1990, Jahan was born into a Muslim Bengali household in Calcutta, West Bengal, India. His parents were Muhammad Shah Jahan and Sushma Khatun. She attended Bhawanipur College in Kolkata after completing her education at Our Lady Queen of the Missions School in Kolkata, where she earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree.

Mamata Banerjee, the president of the Trinamool Congress party and the chief minister of West Bengal, declared on March 12, 2019, that Jahan would run in the upcoming general election of 2019 from the Basirhat Lok Sabha Constituency. She defeated BJP contender Sayantan Basu by a margin of 350,000 votes to win.

Kader Khan and Jahan dated for roughly “three or four” years. He was linked to Suzette Jordan’s gang rape in 2012. Jahan insisted that they broke up five months prior to the incident and stayed close friends in the wake of it. Concerned attorneys urged that Jahan be taken into custody after accusing her of providing sanctuary to Kader Khan, an escaped criminal. Subsequently, she stated that he ought to face legal consequences if he was found guilty of the offence.
On June 19, 2019, Jahan and businessman Nikhil Jain wed in a lavish ceremony in Turkey. Afterwards, a reception was held, which was attended by a number of celebrities, including Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her friend, the actress and co-member of parliament, Mimi Chakraborty.

Actor Yash Dasgupta and Jahan started dating, however as of December 2021, their marriage status is still unknown. In August 2021, Jahan gave birth to a child, at a private hospital in Kolkata. According to reports, Dasgupta was listed as the child’s father on the birth certificate.
