Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, is the birthplace of Meenakshi Dixit. Meenakshi Dixit is the daughter of Geeta Dixit and Ishwar Chandra Dixit, a prominent attorney in the Raebareli Civil Court. Meenakshi Dixit made her film business debut in 2008 as a competitor on NDTV Imagine’s dance reality show Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan, which was hosted by Saroj Khan. Her film debut was in the Telugu movie Lifestyle.

Meenakshi Dixit had a cameo in a dancing sequence in 2011’s Dookudu, the highest-grossing Telugu movie of the year. In an attempt to duplicate the success of her dance performance in Dookudu, she was also selected by the producers of the Bodyguard version to do a dance number after that. One of her largest projects to date, she also performed an item number in the Tamil movie Billa II. In 2014, she starred in two feature films. Meenakshi Dixit appeared in the Tamil historical comedy Tenaliraman as a princess. In contrast, she portrayed an aspirant sharpshooter in the thriller-drama Adavi Kachina Vennela, where she also performed stunts.
