Born on October 8, 1977, Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna is an Indian actress, producer, and television presenter who has experience in both American television and Telugu movies. Manchu, the daughter of veteran actor Mohan Babu, graduated from Oklahoma City University with a bachelor’s degree in theatre.

Lakshmi Manchu is the recipient of two State Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards South. Manchu made her acting debut in the American television series Las Vegas, where she portrayed James Lesure’s romantic interest, Sarasvati Kumar, in a supporting role. After that, she had appearances in one episode of Mystery ER, Late Nights with My Lover, and Desperate Housewives. Lakshmi Manchu has also made appearances in advertisements for Chevrolet, AARP, and Toyota.

The sole child of actor Mohan Babu and Vidya Devi is Lakshmi Manchu. She has a younger paternal half-brother named Manoj Manchu and a younger brother named Vishnu Manchu. Chennai is where she was born.

Manchu wed Chennai-based IT specialist Andy Srinivasan in 2006. The surrogate mother gave birth to the couple’s daughter. They lived for a few years in Hyderabad before relocating to Mumbai.
Lakshmi Manchu Career
Manchu began her career at the age of four. Lakshmi Manchu has appeared in twenty feature films in India and a few small TV parts in the United States. Together with her family, she co-owns Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures, a production firm that has so far turned out 56 feature films.
Following a successful audition, she was hired on to play a supporting role in Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film Kadal in December 2011. Playing the part of a poor villager named Celina, she thought this movie would be her big break, but once it came out, she scarcely had any offers in Tamil.
