Born on July 19, 1984, Anaitha Nair is an Indian actress and singer who works primarily in theatre and film. Anaitha Nair is most recognised for her portrayal of Aliya Bose, a member of the Indian women’s national hockey team, in the sports-themed movie Chak De India (2007), which starred Shahrukh Khan.
Anaitha Nair Career
Her mother is Parsi, while her father is Malayali, and she was born in Bangalore. Anaitha Nair attended Bangalore University , completed her education at The Frank Anthony Public School in Bengaluru, and then relocated to Mumbai. She became well-known after starring in the sports-themed movie Chak De India (2007) as Aliya Bose, a player for the Indian women’s national hockey team.
Additionally, she starred in the Malayalam films IG (2009) and By the People (2005). Anaitha Nair had also appeared in several TV commercials, most notably for Dairy Milk Silk, Acer, Dove, Medical Abortion Pills, Nescafe, and Virgin Mobile alongside Ranbir Kapoor.

In the British-Indian comedy series Mumbai Calling, she also portrayed Bindiya.Well Done Abba (2010), a film by Shyam Benegal, was her second Hindi release. Additionally, Anaitha featured as a cancer patient in Nagesh Kukunoor’s Aashayein. Anaitha Nair also tonsured her head in character. Anaitha Nair appeared in the casts of Dum Maaro Dum by Rohan Sippy and Jhootha Hi Sahi by Abbas Tyrewalla. Her most recent films include Force, directed by Nishikant Kamat, and Ekaant, helmed by Sunil Pillai.
In addition to her acting career, Anaitha was a member of the band S5, who worked with Sony-BMG to make the album “Isai”.[
