Indian actress Amala Paul was born on October 26, 1991 . Amala Paul primarily works in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam films. Neelathamara (2009), a Malayalam film, marked her acting debut. For her performance in the film Mynaa (2010), she was awarded the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress.

In Ernakulam, Kerala, on October 26, 1991, Amala Paul was born. Amala was born to Paul Varghese (d. 2017) and Annice Paul, and she comes from a Christian household. After Amala entered the film industry, her brother Abijith Paul also made appearances in films. Amala Paul took a break to start a career in films after graduating from Nirmala Higher Secondary School in Aluva , but she has now entered St. Teresa’s College in Kochi to pursue a B.A. in English.

2009–2010 Initiation
Lal Jose offered her a supporting role in his film Neelathamara (2009) when she completed her schooling. Though it was a hit, the movie did not draw any further offers, unlike what she had hoped for. After pursuing opportunities in Tamil films, she signed on to play the lead in another low-budget movie, Veerasekaran (2010), and later signed on for the low-budget comedy flick Vikadakavi, which was postponed and eventually became her sixth release. Critics criticised the film, which became her first Tamil release, and it received no attention at all .
Paul’s part was described as “minimal” , and she later stated that she regretted being in the movie and that several of her sequences had been cut out. Paul subsequently worked on Samy’s controversial Sindhu Samaveli (2010), where she played Sundari, a woman having an extramarital affair with her father-in-law.

She signed on for Sindhu Samaveli before hearing the full tale, saying she was astonished but not disturbed by the contentious sequences she learned later. She was approached after the majority of her next release, Mynaa, was ready. The film’s director has faced backlash in the past for portraying shady relationships and abusing his former lead actress in a movie, but Paul downplayed the accusations, saying she had no issues with the filmmaker.
The movie received mixed reviews when it first came out, with some critics stating they couldn’t even give it a rating since they were so disgusted by the narrative. Paul stated that she was publically reprimanded by women in a Chennai movie theatre and that she received death threats from unidentified callers.
2021–the present
She costarred alongside Pitta Kathalu and Kutty Story in an anthology film in 2021. Her upcoming web series appearances include Victim: Who is Next? in Tamil, Ranjish Hi Sahi in Hindi, and Kudi Yedamaithe in Telegu. On August 12, the investigative thriller Cadaver (2022) made its premiere on Disney+ Hotstar.
Amala Paul Personal Life
At the request of director Samy, who pointed out that another actress, Amala, had already established her reputation, Paul had changed her name on film to Anakha. She felt that the replacement had brought her ill luck, therefore she changed back to her birth name following the failure of her 2011 film Sindhu Samaveli.
Amala Paul was romantically linked to director A. L. Vijay as early as 2011, when Paul was working on Deiva Thirumagal, although she denied that the two were dating. Amala Paul proposed to Vijay at Aluva in Kochi on June 7, 2014. On June 12, 2014, the pair wed in Chennai’s Mayor Ramanathan Chettiar Hall. In 2016, Amala and Vijay filed for divorce because of her in-laws’ disapproval of her decision to pursue an acting profession. In 2017, they got divorced.
Paul was taken into custody for tax evasion in January of 2018. Amala Paul had used forged documents to register her fancy car in Puducherry, according to a criminal branch inquiry. The case was later closed due to jurisdictional problems.
