Born on August 28, 1978, Vineet Kumar Singh is an Indian actor and writer best recognised for his powerful performance in the 2018 film Mukkabaaz as ambitious boxer Shravan Kumar Singh. At the age of 21, Vineet, who holds an M.D. in Ayurveda from Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur, made his acting debut in the film Pitaah (2002).

Following a few early roles, such as in the 2010 movie City of Gold, he gained recognition for his work in films like Bombay Talkies and Gangs of Wasseypur. In order to take part in Superstars Talent Hunt, Vineet Singh travelled to Mumbai. Actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar, one of the judges, offered him a part in the Sanjay Dutt film Pitaah after he won the competition. After the movie’s negative reception, Singh had difficulty landing more roles. After that, he assisted Mahesh Manjrekar as an associate director on films like Deh and Viruddh (2005).
Singh departed the group in 2007 to concentrate entirely on acting.
