Actor Swapnil Joshi (pronounced [sʋəpniːl dɡʒoʃiː] in Marathi) is an Indian who works in both Hindi and Marathi cinema and television. Swapnil Joshi made his television debut at age nine in the Ramanand Sagar series Uttar Ramayan.

Swapnil Joshi has acted in films including Duniyadari, Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai, and Krishna, one of the most popular television shows ever, as well as Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta. In the Hindi film industry, he has performed in numerous comedic programmes, including Comedy Circus and Papad Pol – Shahabuddin Rathod Ki Rangeen Duniya. The “Vidarbhache Wagh” wrestling squad in Zed Maharashtra Kusti Dangal is owned by Swapnil. Joshi during the Marathi film Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai premiere with co-star Mukta Barve oshi began his acting career at the age of nine in the Ramanand Sagar production Uttar Ramayana, where he portrayed a young Kusha. Joshi thereafter took a hiatus from performing before returning to the screen in Sanjeev Bhattacharya’s series Campus as a young actor. After that, he carried on working in Hindi television series, including Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyaan, Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, and Hudd Kar Di. Swapnil Joshi portrayed Inder in the hit Zed TV series Amanat in 1997. Later, he portrayed Dhruv, a secondary lead in the television series Kehta Hai Dil. Swapnil Joshi made his acting debut in the 1997 movie Ghulam-E-Mustafa, which starred Nana Patekar and Raveena Tandon, in the supporting character of Vikram Dixit.

Joshi subsequently started watching comedies, and he took part in Comedy Circus’s inaugural season. Swapnil Joshi was paired with V.I.P., and the pair was named the show’s runners-up. Later, he competed in several Comedy Circus seasons, including Comedy Circus 20-20, Comedy Circus Ke Superstars, Comedy Circus Ke Tansen, and Comedy Circus-Chinchpokli To China.

Together with his VIP companion, he emerged victorious in the eighth season of the comedy circus Maha Sangram. Joshi has served as the host of Zed TV’s comedy series Ladies Special. Joshi reteamed with Sai Tamhankar for Sanjay Jadhav’s Pyaar Vali Love Story in 2014. The movie had a strong opening weekend and was a box office success. Joshi also served as the anchor of the Star Pravah chat show Dhabal-Ek Timepass in 2014. His debut came in the 2015 movie Mitwaa, costarring with Sonalee Kulkarni and Prarthana Behere as Shivam Sarang.

Mitwaa was hailed as a “super hit” after receiving a resounding reception at the box office. His next film, Welcome Zindagi, starred Amruta Khanvilkar in the role of Anand Prabhu. Next, he starred alongside Sai Tamhankar and Tejaswini Pandit in Sanjay Jadhav’s Tu Hi Re. In his last film of the year, Gautam Pradhan, he starred opposite Mukta Barve in Satish Rajwade’s Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai 2, the sequel to Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai. His debut was in the 2016 R. Madhesh film Friends, costarring Sachit Patil and starring opposite Gauri Nalawde.

Later, he acted in the movie Laal Ishq, which was directed by Swapna Waghmare Joshi and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Anjana Sukhani makes her Marathi cinema debut as well. Released on May 27. Alongside Subodh Bhave, he is also starring in the film Fugay, which is being directed by Swapna Waghmare Joshi. He co-starred with his brother Subodh Bhave in the family flick Fugay. They now go by Swapnil Bhave instead of Subodh Joshi as their last name. Additionally, he acted in Ganesh Acharya’s Marathi film Bhikari.
