Khan entered a “not guilty” plea to the allegation that he had broken the law by possessing and using illegal firearms. The actor was found not guilty by the court because there was insufficient evidence presented by the prosecution.
On April 5, 2018, a Jodhpur court found Khan guilty of blackbuck poaching and gave him a five-year prison sentence; Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam, and Tabu were all found not guilty.
