Born on October 15, 1977 (other sites place his birthdate as 1982), Syed Imran Abbas Naqvi is a Pakistani actor and model who primarily works in Urdu television. Imran Abbas is better known by his stage name, Imran Abbas.
In 2003, Abbas made his acting debut in Umrao Jaan Ada. Imran Abbas went on to feature in a number more serials. His portrayal of Hammad Raza in the 2011 spiritual-romantic serial Khuda Aur Mohabbat helped him get widespread recognition and marked a turning point in his career.

Abbas is most recognised for his performances as Hadi Salman in Alvida (2015), where he won Best on-screen pair with Sanam Jung, and Adeel in Dil-e-Muztar (2013), for which he was nominated for Best actor popular at the Hum Awards.

2014 saw Abbas make his Bollywood debut opposite Bipasha Basu in Vikram Bhatt’s horror movie Creature 3D. Imran Abbas then had an appearance on Jaanisaar.

Abbas was born in Islamabad on October 15, 1977, or 1982. His family originally came from Uttar Pradesh, India, where they relocated after the 1947 division.
His father was employed by the government as a civil engineer, and he was raised in an artistic family, having painted since he was four years old and performing and writing Urdu poetry. He was the youngest of six siblings, with two older brothers and three older sisters. Famous Urdu poets Parveen Shakir and Ahmad Faraz were among his frequent guests.
He discovered that architecture was a synthesis of art and engineering, therefore he studied it at the National College of Arts, Lahore. Imran Abbas received classical music training as well before joining NCA.
