Gulshan Devaiah Childhood And Schooling

On May 28, 1978, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, Devaiah was born into a Kodava family. Gulshan Devaiah holds an NIFT degree. Alongside Kalki Koechlin and Naseeruddin Shah, Devaiah made his feature film debut in 2010 with Anurag Kashyap’s That Girl in Yellow Boots. The Venice Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival both screened the movie In the movie, he portrayed Chitiappa. Devaiah starred alongside Paoli Dam in Vivek Agnihotri’s sensual thriller Hate Story (2012), which was produced by Vikram Bhatt. In this, his debut leading role, he played the scheming son of a wealthy business magnate, Siddharth Dhanrajgir. The movie gained favorable reviews from reviewers and went on to become a surprising hit. Bollywood Hungama’s Taran Adarsh gave the movie a 3 out of 5 rating and called Devaiah’s performance “outstanding.” In the same year, he costarred with Nimrat Kaur in Vasan Bala’s crime drama Peddlers, in which he played 20-year-old Ranjit D’souza, a young man who becomes entangled in the drug trade.

The film received mixed reviews from reviewers when it debuted at the Cannes Film Festival. Devaiah made an appearance in the 2013 “blockbuster” romantic-tragic drama film Ram-Leela, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. In the film, Devaiah played the character of Bhavani. After a year, Devaiah made an appearance in the adult comedy Hunterrr, directed by Harshavardan Kulkarni and costarring Radhika Apte, in 2015. In the movie, he played the role of Mandar Ponkshe, a sex addict who talked about his passionate life’s journey. At the box office, the movie was a success.

Gulshan Devaiah also appeared in the 2016 film Junooniyat, directed by Vivek Agnihotri, as an NRI. In 2017, Devaiah signed three movies: CandyFlip, A Death in the Gunj, and Cabaret. In the action comedy Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, he played the dual roles of twin brothers Karate Mani and Jimmy. For this role, he was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor in addition to winning the Screen Award for Best Supporting Actor. portrayed Buraq Ansari in the action movie Commando 3.
