Indian comedian and actor Chandan Prabhakar, also known by his alias Chandu, was born on September 29, 1981.

Chandan graduated from Hindu College in Amritsar with a degree in mechanical engineering. Chandan Prabhakar wed Nandini Khanna in 2015, and the two of them had a single child. He has collaborated on The Kapil Sharma Show, Comedy Nights with Kapil, and The Great Indian Laughter Challenge with Kapil Sharma, with whom he was childhood friends. Among his most well-known personas are Chandu Chaiwala, Jhanda Singh, Raju, and Hawaldaar Harpal Singh.

In 2007, he made his comedy television debut as a contestant on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, finishing in second place. Then, in 2010, he made an appearance in Bhavnao Ko Samjho, which was directed by his fellow comic Sunil Pal. Following that, he starred in three Punjabi-language motion pictures: Judge Singh LLB (2015), Disco Singh (2014), and Power Cut (2011).
Chandan Prabhakar co-wrote the screenplay and co-produced the last one. The Guardian described Judge Singh LLB as a scrappy, victorious slacker comedian in their review. According to Jasmine Singh’s review for The Tribune, the movie is unquestionably a break from the typical plots. ABP Sanjha praised the movie as a strong pollywood courtroom drama.
Chandan Prabhakar made appearances in a few Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe episodes in 2013. His frequent appearances on Comedy Nights with Kapil, The Kapil Sharma Show, and Family Time With Kapil Sharma, among other shows hosted by his pal Kapil Sharma, helped him gain notoriety.
