Ankur Rathee is an American actor of Indian descent, born on March 24, 1991. His most well-known performance was in the 2019–2020 season of Four More Shots Please on Amazon Prime Video.
Ankur Rathee Childhood
Hisar, Haryana is where Ankur was born. He completed his studies at The Bishop’s School in 2009 with honors. After receiving training from Tony Award winner John Rando, Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman, and Academy Award nominee Christina Lazaridi, he went on to graduate from Princeton University. Ankur Rathee also took a short course at USC School of Cinematic Arts on filmmaking. Ankur worked for an advertising technology company in New York City after graduating, but he eventually left to pursue acting full-time.

Ankur participated actively in dance organizations, a cappella groups, and musical theater plays while he was a student. In New York City, he started his professional performing career in off-Broadway theater and short films. In 2018, he returned to the theater in Tammy Ryan’s Baby’s Blues, costarring Ila Arun and K. K. Raina. that has its National Center for the Performing Arts debut. But it was his performance in Four More Shots Please! as Arjun Nair, the youthful intern opposite Kirti Kulhari! that initially brought him notoriety.

He portrayed Arjun Mathur’s homosexual love interest in Made in Heaven, another Amazon Prime series, that same year. In The Tashkent Files, Ankur made his feature film debut alongside Naseeruddin Shah. He returned to the big screen in 2020, costarring alongside Jim Sarbh in Taish and Taapsee Pannu in Thappad. Ankur went on to secure his first leading parts in the Marathi movie Nirmal En Route and the crime thriller series Undekhi. In the movie Sarabha: Cry for liberation, he also played Indian liberation fighter Bhagat Singh.

Since 2022, Ankur has been wed to actress Anuja Joshi, who is the niece of Pallavi Joshi and the daughter of former child artist Master Alankar. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Ankur traveled 4,500 kilometers across the country in order to make a proposal on July 19, 2020.
