In Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on November 19, 1985, Shweta Mohan was born into a Malayali family. Shweta Mohan is the child of playback singer Sujatha Mohan and Krishna Mohan. Shweta Mohan graduated from Stella Maris College in Chennai after completing her education at Good Shepherd Convent in Chennai. Shweta Mohan is wed to Ashwin Shashi, her lifelong friend. Sreshta Ashwin, the daughter of Shweta Mohan and Ashwin Shashi, was born in 2017.
Shweta Mohan Career
At nine years old, Shweta began her studies in Carnatic music. Shweta Mohan recorded as a child performer for the choruses of the songs “Accham accham illai” (Indira) and “Kuchi kuchi rakkamma” (Bombay), under the direction of A. R. Rahman. Ilayaraja, A. R. Rahman, Vidyasagar, M. M. Keeravani, M. Jayachandran, Johnson, Sharreth, Ousepachan, Deepak Dev, Harris Jayaraj, Yuvan Shankar Raja, V. Harikrishna, G. V. Prakash, Mani Sharma, Kannan, N. R. Raghunanthan, Manikanth Kadri, Devi Sri Prasad, and Anirudh Ravichander are just a few of the Indian music directors for whom Shweta has sung. Shweta is presently receiving vocal training in Carnatic classical singing from playback artist Binni Krishnakumar.
