Born on June 14, 1989, Jubin Nautiyal is an Indian playback singer and live performer. Jubin Nautiyal was the June 2022 IIFA “Playback Singer (Male)” winner for the song “Raataan Lambiyan.” Jubin Nautiyal won the 8th Mirchi Music Awards’ Upcoming Male Vocalist of the Year title for his performance of Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s “Zindagi Kuch Toh Bata (Reprise)”.

Jubin Nautiyal Childhood

On June 14, 1989, Jubin Nautiyal was born in Dehradun. His mother, Neena Nautiyal, is a businesswoman, while his father, Ram Sharan Nautiyal, is a politician and businessman in Uttarakhand. At the young age of four, he began to exhibit a preference for music, following in his father’s musical footsteps. Jubin Nautiyal attended St. Joseph’s Academy in Dehradun for his education up to the eighth grade.

Jubin Nautiyal then pursued his education at the Welham Boys’ School in Dehradun, where he developed a foundation in classical music and studied music as a topic in formal education. He also picked up playing the drums, harmonium, guitar, and piano. Nautiyal had become a well-known singer in his birthplace of Dehradun by the time he was eighteen. He gave several live performances and gave donations.

In the Indian music scene, he made his debut with the song “Ek Mulakat” from the 2014 film Sonali Cable. In the same year, he sang “Meherbani” for The Shaukeens as well. He performed “Bandeyaa” for Jazbaa, “Tu Itni Khoobsurat Hain Reloaded” for Barkhaa, “Zindagi” for Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and “Samandar” alongside Shreya Ghoshal for Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon in 2015. Under S. Thaman’s musical direction, he made his Telugu debut for Sarrainodu and his Bengali debut in the film Aashiqui.

On MTV Unplugged Season 5, Nautiyal sang the song “Jiya Re” by Dahleez in 2016. Along with Pawni Pandey, he released the Hindi pop song “Dil Budhhu” on T-Series. He sung for Machine, Commando 2, Tubelight, Raabta, and Commando 2. He performed “Raat Baaki” for Ittefaq, “Socha Hai” for Baadshaho, and “Banwra Mann” for Jolly LLB 2.

Alongside Palak Muchhal, he also sang the title song for the Star Plus series Tu Sooraj, Main Saanjh Piyaji at the 2017 Star Parivaar Awards. He sang the songs “Gazab Ka Hai Din Remake” and “Boond Boond” for the 2018 film Hate Story 4 and Dil Juunglee, respectively, alongside Prakriti Kakar.
