In a Kodava family , Rashmika Mandanna was born on April 5, 1996, in the town of Virajpet, in the Kodagu region of Karnataka, to Suman and Madan Mandanna. Her early education was finished at Kodagu’s Coorg Public School. She completed her undergraduate studies at the M. S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce in Bangalore, where she majored in psychology, journalism, and English literature.

Rashmika debuted as an actor in Kirik Party (2016), which went on to become one of the highest-grossing Kannada films of the year. For the part, she was awarded the SIIMA Award for Best Debut Actress. Rashmika starred in two Kannada films in 2017: Chamak and Anjani Putra. For her performance in the movie Chamak, she received a nomination for the 65th Filmfare Awards South’s Best Actress – Kannada category.

Rashmika Mandanna had an appearance in the movie Bheeshma that same year. Her debut release came in 2021 with the movie Pogaru. Later, with Karthi in Sulthan and Allu Arjun in Pushpa: The Rise. Rashmika played the lead role in Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu in 2022. After that, she starred in Goodbye and Sita Ramam.
