Archana Gautam was one of the eight candidates running in this election. Archana Gautam lost the election to BJP candidate Dinesh Khatik, who earned 107587 votes to Gautam’s 1,519.

When Gautam attempted to enter the Indian National Congress office in New Delhi to congratulate Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi regarding the women’s reservation bill in the Lok Sabha in 2023, she and her father were both attacked. Gautam accused Sandeep Kumar, Priyanka Gandhi’s personal assistant, of harassing her and making death threats. She further claimed that a female employee of the Congress Party office physically assaulted her, forcing her to flee for her life. Along with her, her father, and her driver, it was reportedly alleged that this happened.
