Born on May 27, 1984, Mukesh Chhabra is an Indian actor, filmmaker, and casting director. Among his major works are Commando (2023), Jawan (2023), Dunki (2023), Chamak (2023), Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), Dangal (2016), Dil Bechara (2020), Scam 1992 (2020), and Bajrangi Bhaijan (2015).

1984 saw his birth in Delhi. At the Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, he pursued acting studies. He finished a six-year tenure as an actor and educator at the National School of Drama’s “Theatre in Education” Company (TIE) in New Delhi.
Mukesh Chhabra Career
Mukesh Chhabra began working with Rang De Basanti in 2006 as an assistant casting director. He made a brief appearance in Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Manoj Bajpayee’s Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2 directed by Anurag Kashyap in 2012. In 2015, he oversaw casting for Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s film Bajrangi Bhaijan, directed by Kabir Khan. He handled the casting for Bombay Velvet, which starred Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma, and Ranbir Kapoor, in the same year. He handled the casting for Nitesh TIwari’s 2016 film Dangal, which starred Aamir Khan and was also produced by the latter.

In 2020, Mukesh made his directing debut with Dil Bechara, which starred Sanjana Sanghi and Sushant Singh Rajput. He served as the casting director for Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992 in 2020. He handled the casting for Laal Singh Chaddha, directed by Advait Chandan and starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, in 2022. He handled the casting for Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Commando in 2023. That same year, he costarred with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in Atlee’s Jawan.”
Chhabra also handled the casting for Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki in 2023, which starred Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal, Shah Rukh Khan, and Taapsee Pannu. He both acted and handled casting for Subhash Kapoor’s Kafas, starring Mona Singh and Sharman Joshi, and for Rohit Jugraj’s Chamak in the same year.
