Geeta Kapur is an Indian choreographer and television personality who was born on July 5, 1973 . Together with actress Sonali Bendre and choreographer Terence Lewis, she most recently served as a judge on Sony TV’s dance reality series, India’s Best Dancer.
Geeta Kapur Career
At the age of seventeen, Puru started her career when she joined the Bollywood choreographer Farah Khan’s group. Geeta Kapur Later, she worked with Farah Khan on a number of films, including the musical Bombay Dreams (2004) and the films Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dil Toh Pagal Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Mohabbatein, Kal Ho Na Ho, Main Hoon Na, and Om Shanti Om.

Geeta Kapur oversaw the choreography for numerous Bollywood movies, such as Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (2011), Heyy Babyy (2007), Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic (2008), Aladin (2009), Fiza (2000), Asoka (2001), Saathiya (2002), and Tees Maar Khan’s Sheila Ki Jawani (2010). Geeta Kapur has also directed opening ceremonies for Pepsi IPL 2013 and other events, including concerts and award shows like Temptation Reloaded.
Using a combination of traditional and modern dance skills, she began as a secondary background dancer in numerous song sequences, including ‘Dum Tara’ by Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, ‘Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aaye’ from the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and ‘Gori Gori’ from Main Hoon Na. She began acting in motion pictures in the late 1990s, including Nayak. Geeta Kapur was in Kuch Kuch Locha Hai as well.
In 2008, Kapur made her TV debut on Zed TV’s Dance India Dance (season 1), where she shared the judges’ chair choreographies, Terrence Lewis and Remo D’Souza. The grand master was Mithun Chakrabarty. Geeta Kapur served as a trainer for the Geeta Ki Gang.

Geeta Kapur participated in the 2009 season of Dance India Dance as a judge and mentor alongside choreographers Terrence Lewis and Remo D’Souza. They taught ballet, acrobatics, hip-hop, mid-air dancing, modern, Bollywood, and other dance styles to the eighteen competitors.
Geeta Kapur made an appearance during the auditions and on a special episode of the television programme DID Lil Masters, where Sandip Soparkar and her mentor Farah Khan served as judges. In addition, she judged DID Doubles alongside choreographers Rajiv Surti and Marzi Pestonji. Geeta Kapur co-judged the third season of the critically acclaimed programme Dance India Dance alongside Remo D’Souza and Terrence Lewis. Geeta Kapur and Marzi Pestonji were spotted judging the second season of DID Lil Masters in 2012. Kapur later appeared alongside Farah Khan and Marzi as a judge on Dance Ke Superkids.
