Born on January 20, 1994, Akshar Patel, also spelt Axar Patel, is an Indian international cricket player who bowls all-round for the Indian cricket team in all game formats. In addition, he plays Indian Premier League cricket for the Delhi Capitals and domestic cricket for Gujarat. Axar Patel is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and a left-handed hitter.

On June 15, 2014, he played his first ODI match against Bangladesh. He was included in the 15-man Indian cricket team for the Australia and New Zealand 2015 Cricket World Cup.
