Pannu had a brief stint as a model before starring in the Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam (2010) and the Tamil film Aadukalam (2011). In the 2013 comedy Chashme Baddoor starring David Dhawan, she made her screen debut in Hindi. Pannu rose to prominence for her roles in the critically acclaimed Hindi spy film Baby (2015) and the commercially successful courtroom drama Pink (2016), after starring in a number of Telugu and Tamil films.

The war drama The Ghazi Attack (2017), the social drama Mulk (2018), the love drama Manmarziyaan (2018), the thriller Badla (2019), and the space drama Mission Mangal (2019) all helped Pannu become well-known in Hindi film. 2010–2015: Initial efforts and Acknowledgment

In 2010, Pannu made her feature film debut in the love musical Jhummandi Naadam, directed by K. Raghavendra Rao.
