Born on June 5th, Surbhi Puranik, or Surbhi for short, is an Indian actress who mainly appears in Telugu and Tamil films. Surbhi Puranik made her cinematic debut in 2013 with the Tamil film Ivan Veramathiri, for which she was nominated for the Vijay Award for Best Debut Actress and the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut-Tamil.

With Beeruva (2015), Surbhi made her Telugu film debut. Surbhi Puranik appeared in two popular movie (2016), Gentleman and Express Raja. Sakath (2021) marked her Kannada cinema debut.
Surbhi Puranik Early Years
On June 5, in Delhi, Surbhi was born as Surbhi Puranik. Surbhi Puranik graduated from the College of Art in Delhi with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. Surbhi enrolled in an acting course at Imago Acting School, where Barry John and Manoj Bajpai were her instructors. Then, before to her film debut, she completed a number of modelling assignments.

Surbhi Puranik debuted opposite Dhanush in Velaiyilla Pattathari in 2014 as a chain smoker. It was among the year’s most commercially successful Tamil films. As stated in the Deccan Chronicle, “Surabhi’s cameo fits the bill.” Then she had a brief cameo in Jeeva. Surbhi Puranik debuted in Telugu in 2015 and starred in Beeruva with Sundeep Kishan. “Surbhi is good in her role but could have worked better in the drunk scene,” the Times of India observed.
In 2016, Surbhi released four albums. In Express Raja, she first played a dog lover opposite Sharwanand. It achieved financial success. The Hindu remarked, “Surbhi appears attractive. She plays a minor part, but she does it well.”Surbhi Puranik then starred in Pugazh, an average box office film, with Jai Then, in Attack, she made an appearance across from Manchu Manoj. Gentleman, in which she portrayed a young entrepreneur opposite Nani, was her last release of the year. It became a box office commercial success. According to Firstpost, “Surabhi as Aishwarya is simple and naïve, like the character demands.” “Surabhi looks good on screen and has done her job very well,” the Deccan Chronicle reported.
In her lone release of 2017, Okka Kshanam, she made an appearance opposite Allu Sirish. “Surbhi, as Allu Sirish’s love, fits her role to the T,” said Firstpost.
Career progression and current work (2019–present)
In the 2019 movie Voter, Surbhi played the lead role opposite Vishnu Manchu. 123 wrote in Telugu, “Surabhi looks glamorous and her chemistry with Vishnu Manchu is good too.”

In 2021, Surbhi released two albums. In Sashi, she originally played the title character opposite Aadi. “Surabhi looked good on screen but could have been more expressive,” the Times of India remarked. Sakath was Surbhi’s next Kannada film debut. She portrayed an anchor beside Ganesh. Times of India commented, “Surbhi is charming in her debut outing.”
After a little absence, Surbhi played Sofia in DD Returns alongside Santhanam. Times of India noted, “Surbhi along with the other cast members, has played her part to perfection.”
