Actress Sonali Bendre was born in India on January 1, 1975, and her main roles have been in Telugu and Hindi films. Before making her acting debut in Aag (1994), for which she received the Filmfare Award for New Face of the Year, she completed modelling assignments. Bendre has won four Screen Awards and two Filmfare Awards, among other honours.

Bendre said on July 4, 2018, that she was receiving treatment in a hospital in New York City for a metastatic cancer diagnosis. The actress was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, however she went cancer-free in 2021.
