Shamna Kasim, better known by her stage name Poorna, is an Indian model, actress, and dancer who works in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema.
Shamna Kasim Childhood
Shamna Kasim was born in Kannur to Kasim and Ramla, a Muslim and Malayalee couple. After transferring from Ursuline Senior Secondary School, she completed her education at St. Teresas Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School in Kannur. She changed schools so she could focus more on honing her dancing abilities.

Shamna Kasim began studying many classical dance genres when she was young. She is knowledgeable about the Kathak, Bharatanatyam, and Mohiniyattam classical dance genres. Shamna wed businessman Shanid Asif Ali in a close-knot ceremony held in Dubai on June 12, 2022. The son of the couple is named Hamdan Asif Ali.
Police detained gang members in June 2020 after Shamna’s mother reported that the group had blackmailed her daughter. Police disclosed that the gang compelled movie actresses to accompany them as escorts for the transportation of black money by locking them in hotel rooms.
