American model, actress, and former winner of beauty pageants is Monica Gill. On June 21, 2014, she was crowned Miss India Worldwide 2014. While serving as Miss India New England on November 26, 2013, she was also crowned Miss India USA. Monica Gill took part in the MTV India program India’s Next Top Model in 2015.
Monica Gill Career
Gill was attempting to decide whether or not to pursue a career in medicine while working in the pharmaceutical industry. Following her victory as Miss India Worldwide USA, Gill made the decision to play Bollywood in India. Her pageant victory brought her numerous opportunities in the Indian film industry, one of which was a meeting with Tips that resulted in a three-picture agreement. Gill’s ability to speak Hindi presented a barrier to her initial hopes of landing parts in Bollywood. Gill chose to focus on Punjabi films despite coming from a family of Punjabi speakers and speaking the language fluently. In the 2016 Tips movie Ambarsariya, Gill debuted in a Punjabi film alongside Diljit Dosanjh. Monica Gill went on to feature in three consecutive successful Punjabi movies that year. She starred in her first Hindi movie the next year, Firangi, a 2017 K9 production. She appeared in the Hindi film Paltan (2018) as Harshvardhan Rane’s love interest. She acted in the period drama Yaara Ve in Punjabi in 2019. Monica backed the Indian farmers’ revolt in 2020–2021.
Monica Gill Individual Life
At her cousin’s wedding, Gill got to know California-based dentist Gurshawn Sahota. After a prolonged period of distance, the couple got engaged in 2018. Gill came back home with her parents to start planning her wedding, but their plans have been put on hold until it is safe to have face-to-face gatherings because of the pandemic.
In November 2021, Gill and Sahota split up over irreconcilable issues. She presently resides in New York City and is single.
