On October 29, 2015, Basra wed Indian cricket player Harbhajan Singh in Jalandhar, Punjab. Hinaya Heer Plaha, their daughter, was born in Portsmouth, Hampshire, on July 27, 2016. and Jovan Veer Singh Plaha, a boy, who was born on July 10, 2021.
