Indian actress and producer Alka Badola Kaushal is well-known for her roles in Bollywood films. Alka Kaushal is also renowned for her parts in TV dramas such as Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan and Qubool Hai. Alka Kaushal has portrayed supporting parts in multiple Hindi TV series, primarily as vamps or unpleasant characters. In Mose Chhal Kiye Jaaye, she portrayed Sushma Oberoi.

Of the three children born to stage artist Vishwa Mohan S. Badola and Susheela Badola, Kaushal is the oldest. After graduating from Delhi, her hometown,’s National School of Drama Repertory, she relocated to Mumbai in order to pursue a career in Indian television. She is wed to TV producer and director Ravi G. Kaushal, with whom she founded Mangalam Arts, their own production company.

The actress and her mother were sentenced to two years in Sangrur district jail in 2017 after a lower court’s two-year sentence in a check-bounce case was affirmed by the Sangrur (Punjab) court. In order to produce a serial, Alka and her mother borrowed Rs. 50 lakh from farmer Avtar Singh. After giving him two cheques for Rs. 25 lakh apiece, which bounced, he filed a complaint at a municipal court in Malerkotla in 2015, and the two were sentenced to two years in prison. 2018 saw her release from prison.

After starring in Ramesh Sippy’s Gathaand, she went on to appear in Tum Pukar Lo, Manzilein Apni Apni, and Prratima. Kaushal has contributed to several serials, including Kammal, Kartavya, 9 Malabar Hill, Faasle, and Sansar. She can also be featured in the Qubool Hai series on Zee TV. She spent six months away from Qubool Hai. She has acted as Tarkeshwari Singh/Tharka Bua on Sarojini and as Parvati Gadodia in Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur. She portrayed Tara Bai in Colors TV’s Barrister Babu and Sita Choudhary in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in July and November of 2020, respectively.
Alka Kaushal began portraying Devi Sabherwal in Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahani in December 2020.
