Sunny Singh was born into the family of stunt coordinator Jai Singh Nijjar, who has worked on many motion pictures, including Shivaay (2016) and Chennai Express (2013).
Sunny Singh Career
Sunny Singh made his television debut in 2007 as the love interest of Kratika Sengar’s character in the popular sitcom Kasautii Zindagii Kay on Star Plus. He later appeared in the 2009 Shakuntala series as Karan.
In the 2010 film Paathshaala, Singh acted with Shahid Kapoor in his feature debut. He appeared briefly in the last scene in Madhur Bhandarkar’s comedy Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji in 2011 opposite Emraan Hashmi and rookie Chetna Pande. His first significant part was in Luv Ranjan’s love drama Akaash Vani, which was a commercial flop, costarring Kartik Aaryan and Nushrat Bharucha as an abusive husband named Ravi.

For Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, which is a follow-up to Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011) and also stars Aaryan, Bharucha, Omkar Kapoor, Ishita Raj Sharma, and Sonnalli Seygall, Singh reteamed with Aaryan, Ranjan, and Bharucha. At a global total of ₹88 crore (US$11 million), it became his breakthrough hit. 2018 saw the release of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, his highest-grossing release in which he collaborated with the group for the third time.
Singh made a brief appearance in De De Pyaar De, the romantic comedy film directed by Akiv Ali and starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Rakul Preet Singh. The film is produced by Ranjan and tells the story of a 50-year-old businessman who falls in love with a 26-year-old female. Sunny Singh also acted with Kapoor and Jimmy Sheirgill in Smeep Kang’s comedy flick Jhootha Kahin Ka.
Ujda Chaman, the baldness-based directorial debut of Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 producer Abhishek Pathak, marked Singh’s first release as a starring actor. Although his performance was well received, the movie’s box office performance was just mediocre.
Jai Mummy Di, a romantic comedy featuring Seygall, Supriya Pathak, and Poonam Dhillon, was Singh’s most recent film. On January 17, 2020 , the film, which was written, directed, and produced once more by Ranjan, was released to a lacklustre reception. It was revealed in February 2021 that he would portray Lakshmana in the upcoming Ramayana movie Adipurush. Alongside Avneet Kaur, he will also feature in Luv Ki Arrange Marriage.
