Indian television actor Praneet Bhat is well recognised for playing the character Shakuni in the 2013–2014 epic series Mahabharat.

Bhat is a Srinagar-born Pandit from Kashmir. Following his engineering degree, he was employed by Wipro, a software company.

Praneet Bhat Career
In 2004 , he made his television debut on the shows Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi, Hotel Kingston, Kituu Sabb Jaantii Hai, Ssshhhh..Phir Koi Hai, and Kaajjal.
In Geet (2010–2011), he portrayed the nerdy character Aditya. He gained international recognition for his portrayal of Shakuni in the mythical story Mahabharat. Praneet Bhat entered the eighth season of Bigg Boss, a reality show, in September 2014. Additionally, he played a villain in Rishton Ka Chakravyuh on Star Plus. Then, in Porus, Bhat portrayed Darius III.

In the television series Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga, Bhat plays the role of Anguthichhaap, a genie, from 2018 to 2021. In 2020, he plays Jafar in Dangal TV’s Alif Laila.[Reference required] He portrayed Madhusudan in Mere Sai – Shraddha Aur Saburi on Sony TV in February 2021. Praneet Bhat signed on to portray the role of Narada in &TV’s Baal Shiv – Mahadev Ki Andekhi Gatha from 2021 to 2022.
In Dangal TV’s Brij Ke Gopal as Kantak and Jai Hanuman – Sankatmochan Naam Tiharo as Pret Raj, Bhatt made an appearance in an episodic role in 2022. He was chosen to play Amit Shastri in Star Bharat’s Dheere Dheere Se from 2022 to 2023. Bhatt has been a part of Colours TV’s Chand Jalne Laga since October 2023, playing Sartaj Sehgal.
