The Times of India gave the film a 2.5-star rating, stating that “director Karunakaran manages to get strong performances out of his performers, but he struggles to come up with a novel storyline. The director appears to still be suffering from the effects of Tholi Prema, as he presents another one-sided love story without offering a convincing argument for why a young man from Generation Z should keep his feelings for his partner bottled up until the very end. He makes up for it all, though, by packing the movie with hilarious moments, and the writing does have a few poignant passages.

He had an appearance in Mr. Perfect, a romantic comedy, in 2011. “The film comes across as a clean, family entertainer and the makers’ intention must be appreciated,” the review site GreatAndhra wrote in its three-star rating. Prabhas was nominated four times for the Filmfare Award in Telugu for Best Actor, Telugu, for his work in the movie.

Keep an eye out for Prabhas’s action talents and Tamannaah Bhatia’s dancing prowess.” Rediff.com’s Radhika Rajamani rated the film 1.5 stars out of 5 and wrote, “Director Raghava Lawrence created a difficult film with very little plot.
