Mrinal Dutt Career

Small parts in South Indian films, such as the 2012 Telugu film Tuneega Tuneega, marked the beginning of Dutt’s acting career. In the Balaji Telefilms-produced teen drama series MTV Webbed, he portrayed the character of Vikrant in 2013. In the series Private Investigator, he landed his first starring role the following year, in 2014. As Raffe Roy Choudhary, Dutt was a teenage college student who assisted Vrajesh Hirjee’s character, a police inspector, in solving crimes. Mrinal Dutt would use his acute observational skills to solve murders.

Following the advise of Sourabh Ratnu, the show’s creator, Dutt visited numerous public locations merely to examine and record people’s behaviours and mannerisms. Dutt had himself modified his persona to appear younger by donning t-shirts and cutting weight through badminton and running. The public had conjectured that his presence on the programme, particularly in the hair department, was modelled after Benedict Cumberbatch; Dutt described it as “just a coincidence, and a good one.”

In Season 3 of the relationship-focused television series Yeh Hai Aashiqui on the Bindass channel in 2015, Dutt made several appearances in short episodes. The weekly programme became a daily programme in season four, with Dutt serving as the host. Mrinal Dutt was a part of the 2017 short film A Moment, which he and filmmaker Rohit James conceptualised. The Brooklyn Film Festival had screened the short film. He has a supporting part in the ALTBalaji-produced and Pradeep Sarkar-directed web series Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala in 2019. The plot focused on the complicated romantic relationship between two once married cooks. In the movie, Dutt played a playboy lover who was in a relationship with Madhu Sneha’s sous cook.

Beginning in 2019, Dutt was a part of the three seasons of the MX Player-streamed romantic-thriller online series Hello Mini. Novoneel Chakraborty’s Stranger Trilogy serves as the basis for the television series. Anuja Joshi’s titular character, Rivana Bannerjee, has Dutt as her love interest.

Arati Kadav’s short science fiction film 55 km/sec, which starred Dutt, was released in 2020. Storyline: An asteroid is set to strike Earth, and a reclusive man named Sooraj (played by Dutt) lives in a world where the end of the world is imminent. His college pals set up a video chat where he meets his longtime crush, Richa Chadda’s character Srishti, and he declares his love without thinking twice about the repercussions. The film was directed remotely, and the lead actors, Dutt and Chadda, had to put up their own frames using their own gadgets for the shooting because of the COVID-19 shutdown in India. Hotstar and Amazon Prime both hosted the movie’s premiere.

In the web series His Storyy, he portrayed Preet in 2021, a homosexual man in love with a married man (Satyadeep Mishra). Dutt stated that he was thrilled and found the role to be hard. In less than 40 days, the series was filmed in 12 different Australian locations.
