Meezaan Jafri, an Indian actor who appears in Hindi films, was born Syed Meezaan Ahmed Jaffrey on March 9, 1995. Actor Jaaved Jaaferi’s son and comedian Jagdeep’s grandson, respectively, made his acting debut in Malaal (2019), receiving positive reviews for his performance. Since then, Jafri has acted in two films: Yaariyan 2 (2023) and Hungama 2 (2021).
Meezaan Jafri Childhood
Actor Jaaved Jaaferi and his spouse Habiba Jaafery welcomed Jafri into the world on March 9, 1995. Meezaan Jafri is Jagdeep, the seasoned actor’s grandson. After completing his business studies at Franklin & Marshall College in Pennsylvania, he chose to attend the School of Visual Arts in New York to pursue his studies in film direction and editing.

Jafri was the body double for Ranveer Singh in Padmavat and worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In addition, he worked as an assistant director on Gangubai Kathiawadi and Bajirao Mastani.

Jafri debuted in the love drama Malaal, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He performed alongside Sharmin Segal as a jobless Marathi youth. “Jaaferi seems to be the complete package – he dances like a dream, can be intense, and also has a bit of goofy in him,” observed News18’s Priyanka Sinha Jha. According to NDTV’s Saibal Chatterjee, “Meezaan has considerable screen presence.” For the movie, he was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
Jafri starred in the lead role of Hungama 2, a comedy-drama that debuted on Disney+ Hotstar in 2021. Bollywood Hungama said, “There’s no way Meezaan Jafri is bad. Despite his best efforts, the actor’s comedic timing falls short in certain moments.”
In T-Series’ Yaariyan 2, Jafari portrayed a motorcross racer opposite Anaswara Rajan in 2023. It turned out to be a commercial bust. Sanjay Gupta’s Miranda Boys will be produced by Jafri.
