Sushant Divgikar, a.k.a. Rani Ko-HE-Nur, is an Indian model, singer, actor, columnist, drag queen, pageant director, motivational speaker, and video jockey. They were crowned Mr Gay India 2014 in July of that year. At Mr. Gay World 2014, they represented India. They were the only delegates from India to win three sub-prizes at Mr. Gay World 2014, in addition to receiving several special awards.

At the Mr. Gay World 2014 competition, Divgikar became the first delegate from any country and the first Indian to win a record three solo sub titles and two group sub titles.

They took part in Bigg Boss 8, a reality television series.

Divgikar made history in 2018 when they entered the top 15 of the reality competition show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa as Rani Ko-HE-Nur, the first drag queen in India to do so and win the golden buzzer in a singing reality show. Rani, also known as Sushant, is the first member of the LGBTQIA+ community to win a golden buzzer. They were confirmed as contestants in the first season of Queen of the Universe, an international singing competition for drag artists, in 2021, under the guise of their drag persona. December 2, 2021, marked the debut of the series.

Divgikar has collaborated with the majority of the top production companies, agencies, and broadcasting networks both domestically and abroad. He has also appeared in numerous television shows.

Sushant Divgikar Childhood And Upbringing

Divgikar grew up in their Bandra West family home, in the western suburbs of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Pradeep and Bharati Divgikar, Goan Konkani parents, were the parents of Divgikar. Their father, Pradeep, was the president of the Greater Mumbai Amateur Aquatics Association (GMAAA) before retiring as an Assistant Commissioner of Indian Customs and Central Excise.

Divgikar’s TV career began with Rohit Shetty’s UTV Bindass’s Big Switch Season 3. After that, they hosted Atyachaar Ka Punchnama on UTV Bindass. They participated in Bigg Boss 8 on Colour TV. They took part in the 2014 Mr. Gay World event. They placed in the top ten finalists and became the first person in pageant history to win three subtitles: Mister Gay World Congeniality 2014, Mister People’s Choice 2014, and Mister Gay World Art 2014. Additionally, they have produced TV ads for companies including Idea Mobile, MTV India, Channel V India, Maruti Suzuki, and others. Between 2011 and 2013, they took home multiple honours and trophies in addition to acting and television.[Reference required]

They appeared as a guest on Colours TV’s India’s Got Talent in 2015.& Zoom’s Panga Style. Additionally, they appeared as guests in the grand finale of Killerr Karaoke Atka Toh Latkah on &TV.

Their lives have served as the inspiration for two documentaries that have received nominations and screened at numerous national and international festivals.[Reference required] They may currently be seen in the web series Love, Life, and Screw Ups.

Divgikar was named one of GQ’s 50 Most Influential Young Indians of 2018—both in and out of drag.

They were revealed as one of the fourteen competitors for the first season of Queen of the Universe, an international drag queen singing competition that is a RuPaul’s Drag Race spin-off, in November 2021.
