Born on January 20, 1994, Akshar Patel, also spelt Axar Patel, is an Indian international cricket player who bowls all-round for the Indian cricket team in all game formats. In addition, he plays Indian Premier League cricket for the Delhi Capitals and domestic cricket for Gujarat. Axar Patel is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and a left-handed hitter.

On June 15, 2014, he played his first ODI match against Bangladesh. He was included in the 15-man Indian cricket team for the Australia and New Zealand 2015 Cricket World Cup. On February 13, 2021, he made his Test debut for India against England, taking seven wickets. Axar Patel became the ninth Indian bowler to claim five wickets in his Test cricket debut.
