Actor and director Basil Joseph is an Indian who works in the Malayalam cinema industry. In the 2013 movie Thira, he made his screen debut as Vineeth Sreenivasan’s assistant director. Basil Joseph Career
Basil Joseph started his acting career in 2012 while still an engineering student at College of Engineering, Trivandrum, in the short film CET Life. While he was employed at Infosys in Trivandrum, he also wrote the scripts and directed the short films starring Priyamvadha Katharayano and Albert S. Oru Thundu Padam.
In 2013, Basil made his cinematic debut in Malayalam by helping Vineeth Sreenivasan with Thira, his third feature film. In 2015, he made his directorial debut with Kunjiramayanam, a Malayalam film in which actor brothers Vineeth and Dhyan Sreenivasan made their first-ever joint appearance. The film told the story of residents of a charming made-up village named “Desom,” where superstitions, myths, and tales are deeply ingrained in daily life. Of the 2015 Malayalam film onam releases, the movie earned a commercial triumph at the box office.
Basil Joseph’s second film direction project 2017 saw the release of Godha, a sports comedy centred around wrestling in which Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi made her Malayalam film debut. The film was a commercial hit and went on to become Tovino Thomas’s highest grossing picture at the time.[Reference required] In his third feature film, Minnal Murali, Tovino Thomas portrays a local hero possessing extraordinary abilities. The film was simultaneously released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. It was first announced in 2020 and debuted on Netflix India on December 24, 2021.

Fr. Joseph Pallippatt, a Jacobite Syriac Orthodox priest, is the father of Basil. Basil is a former student of the Trivandrum College of Engineering. After dating Elizabeth Samuel for more than seven years, Basil wed her on August 17, 2017 . Their only child is a girl. Hope Elizabeth Basil is the name of his daughter.
