Born on November 3, 1989, Sabiha Shaikh, also professionally known as Rani Chatterjee, is an Indian actress who mainly appears in Bhojpuri films. In the 2004 film Sasura Bada Paisawala, Chatterjee, who is among the most paid Bhojpuri actresses, made her acting debut. Even now, the movie holds the record for highest grossing Bhojpuri film.

“My director reasoned that since I’m a Muslim, disclosing my real name may cause a stir. Since Rani Mukerji was quite well-known at the time, he said, “Rani,” when someone asked what my name was. When they asked what my surname was, he was at a loss for words and replied, “Chatterjee.” And it was this name that made her renowned as well.”
