Mehta started his career in 2009 on Colours TV with Bairi Piya. He continued to act in television series such as Devi (2010 on Imagine), Na Aana Is Des Laado (2011 on Colours), and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (as Shyam Jha) . (Star Plus, 2011), as Yug Shrivastava in Brahmarakshas (Zed TV, 2016), as Agasthya in Badalte Rishton Ki Dastaan (Zed TV, 2013), as Betaal in Sinhasan Battisti (2015), and as (Star Plus, 2011).
In Mahakali—Anth hi Aarambh hai (on Colours), he portrayed Shumbh. In Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji (Star Plus), Aabhaas also portrayed Dr. Parag. Mehta has been starring in Sony Entertainment Television’s Hum Rahein Na Rahein Hum as Raghvendra Barot from 2023.
