Vaishnavi Dhanraj CID

Vaishnavi joined C.I.D. (episode no. 570) in 2009 as Inspector Tasha, an armed detective. Vaishnavi did all of her own stunts for this programme; she declined to utilise stunt doubles. She rose to fame with CID and gained widespread recognition as Tasha. The last time we saw her on CID was in episode 678.

When the drama leapt forward eighteen years in December 2010, her fierce performance in CID helped her land the lead part in Na Aana Is Des Laado. Vaishnavi portrayed the feminist Jhanvi, a campaigner for women’s rights in rural India. Vaishnavi was unhappy with her work at Na Aana Is Des Laado and considered quitting the organisation in the beginning of 2012 to rejoin CID. However, the matter was resolved amicably, and she stayed with Laado until its conclusion in July of that same year. The topic of female foeticide served as the basis for Na Aana Is Des Laado.

Vaishnavi returned to television in May 2013 with Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi on Sony T.V., following a brief break following her marriage. Her portrayal of the flawless and composed businesswoman Meera Mathur was a significant departure from her earlier portrayals.[Reference required] Vaishnavi was granted the major antagonist role in Colours TV’s Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon after the show concluded in August 2013.

Vaishnavi performed a tightrope walk across a busy roadway in Mumbai as part of a dramatic entrance performance in the show. She portrayed the self-obsessed, struggling Bollywood actress Riya Jaiswal/Devika. The programme experienced a time jump of a few years shortly after Vaishnavi joined, which led her to decide to leave in January 2014. She rose to fame in 2015 when she portrayed Maya Mithlesh Thakur in the television series Begusarai.

Vaishnavi signed up for Star Plus’s epic Mahabharat, her debut television series in the mythological genre, just one week after leaving Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon. She accepted the challenge of portraying the legendary Hidimbaa despite her initial reservations and delivered a highly praised performance. Vaishnavi had to portray both a beautiful enchantress and an ugly demon for this character. In a subsequent interview, she revealed that applying the dense makeup needed for the demoness appearance took more than seven hours, and that the cumbersome outfits made this shoot one of her most peculiar tasks to date. With this role, her reputation and prominence increased.

Indian news network Aaj Tak approached Vaishnavi in March 2014 about playing Nirbhaya in the network’s brand-new social awareness series Satyagraha 2014. Supriya Prasad, managing editor of Aaj Tak, stated that the show’s goal was to be a trailblazer on television and to incite societal change by resurrecting the principles of non-violence and truth-seeking advocated by Mahatma Gandhi. This Sunil Manchanda-directed series touched on a national conscience. Later in her career, Vaishnavi claimed that she had never encountered anything as difficult or humble as she had in this role.

Vaishnavi has also performed in several episodic TV series throughout the years, such as Fear Files, Crime Patrol, Kitchen Champion 4, India’s Got Talent, and Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath.

Her most recent appearance was in Colours TV’s Bepannaah as Mahi Arora.

Vaishnavi Dhanraj Individual life

After a year of relationship, Vaishnavi married Indian actor and model Nitin Sahrawat on December 23, 2012. On the set of Nitin’s show Kitni Mohabbat Hai Season 2, the two first got together. As per Vedic customs, the event was performed in Shantikunj, Haridwar. Vaishnavi’s friends and co-stars from her programmes, such as Meghna Malik, Kritika Kamra, Dayanand Shetty, Hrishikesh Pandey, and Simran Kaur, attended the wedding celebration in Mumbai.

The pair spent 12 days in a shabby hut on the Konkan seashore and went on a backcountry walk over the Western Ghats during their honeymoon. The media listed the wedding as one of the largest celebrity weddings of the year.

2014 saw the launch of NDTV Prime, a new channel. NDTV Prime’s The Getaway had Nitin and Vaishnavi as guests for its first episode. The two were given a Hyundai Elantra, which they used to travel to Kamshet. The couple then parachuted off the treacherous Shelar’s Site, fitting with the episode’s theme of adventure. This episode, which also included their pet Labrador Retriever named Thor, was filmed in their house in the Lokhandwala Complex.

In July 2015, Sahrawat and Dhanraj filed for legal separation. They chose to have a mutually agreeable and peaceful divorce in Bandra family court, and they were divorced in January 2016. The reason for the breakup was stated as an emotional estrangement. A Bollywood gossip website claimed in December 2016 that the divorce was caused by marital abuse.

TV star Vaishnavi Dhanraj stated in 2023 that she had suffered physical abuse at the hands of her relatives. The actress alleges that she was struck by her family members in a video that was posted on X and is currently going viral. The actress also displays her bruises. She also made an assistance call.
