Indian actor and former model Taha Shah is well-known for his leading performance in the 2011 romantic comedy Luv Ka The End from Y-Films. He also starred in the commercially successful movie Gippi (2013).
Taha Shah Life
The United Arab Emirates’ capital city of Abu Dhabi is where Taha Shah was born.From South India, he was raised by his parents, Shah Sikkander Badusha and Mahnaz Sikkander Badusha. His mother, an M.Sc. and MBA from Washington, D.C., was a scientist and is currently an entrepreneur, and his father, an F.R.C.S. from Glasgow and Edinburgh, practices orthopaedic medicine.

He has an older brother named Abid who is a University of Toronto Lead Civil Engineer. Taha received his early schooling in a number of nations, starting with the Sherwood Academy in Abu Dhabi. After completing his studies there up till the fourth grade, he was sent to the prestigious Kodaikanal International School, a boarding school in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, India, where he spent the following three years. But not for an extended period of time. His parents moved him to Sharjah, a nearby city of Dubai, since he felt homesick, and he finished his education there at the International School of Choueifat and Sharjah American International School.
Taha Shah Career
After that, Taha enrolled in the undergraduate Business Administration programme at the American University of Sharjah. As soon as he decided the programme was not for him, he left. His enrollment lasted for just one semester. He would spend his time on the beach honing his weapons while daydreaming about working in the film business. During this time, he also obtained certifications for scuba diving and paragliding. Since 2006, Taha has worked in a variety of industries, including real estate, construction, human resource management, and the provision of building supplies. He took engaged in occasional modelling tasks on the side over the following three years, originally as a pastime.
Many well-known brands, like Honda, Bacardi, Emirates Bank, Bank of Oman, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Omantel, and others, are grateful to Mr. Shah for his impressive body of work. He gave up on his idea to import steel after the recession. According to reports, it was a profitable endeavour when the economic slump hit him. up till then, with a bright future. Taha did, after all, go back to his first love, acting. He enrolled in an acting school in Mumbai, where he met Naresh Panchal, an acting instructor, and continued honing his acting technique under his direction.

Later, on New Year’s Eve 2009, he travelled to Toronto, Canada, to see his brother, and that’s when he decided to pursue acting as a career. The New York Film Academy (NYFA) in Abu Dhabi accepted him after that. Acting was another skill Taha picked up while attending school in Abu Dhabi. Just as Taha was set to leave for Los Angeles to finish his remaining coursework at NYFA after finishing six months there, his father had an epiphany and decided that Taha ought to relocate to Mumbai first. Two weeks later, in September 2009, Taha travelled to Mumbai for a two-day visit with his family, who coincidentally decided to stay overnight. His mother had also given her approval.
He had to devote several hours to his martial arts and dancing training in Mumbai. Luv Ka The End of Y-Films, Taha’s debut film, was signed nine months later.
He was portrayed as the first antihero in the young adult genre. In Dharma Productions’ 2013 film Gippi, which debuted on May 10, 2013, he had a second appearance. Karan Johar commented, “Taha has a strong screen presence that combines machismo and vulnerability,” in reference to the favourable praises Taha received for his portrayal. He will undoubtedly have a fantastic run at the box office.” According to Ramesh S. Taurani, Taha “has the potential to be someone who is here to stay after two consecutive strong performances.” Making the right movie choices will provide him a solid foundation in the business.

He costarred with Pakistani actress Sara Loren in Mahesh Bhatt’s Barkhaa (2015). Although the Barkhaa movie was an economic failure, its songs—such as “Khuda Bhi Na Dikhe” and “Tu Itni Khoobsurat Hai”—were unforgettable. He played Tarun in Karan Johar’s Baar Baar Dekho (2016), which he co-starred in with Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif. The movie was deemed a flop after failing miserably at the box office.
Shah played Pinku in Ranchi Diaries in 2017. He made his Hollywood debut as Gautam in Draupadi Unleashed in 2020. He appeared in the web series Bullets (formerly called Tina and Lolo Playing Mario) in January 2021, opposite Karishma Tanna. He acted as Novin opposite Priya Banerjee in Ekta Kapoor and ALT Balaji’s Bekaboo 2 in March 2021.
In 2022 Shah made his singing debut with the release of his track “Vande Mataram.”
Taha Shah Heeramandi
‘Heeramandi’, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, starred Taha Shah Badussha as Tajdar in 2024.
